Nowadays, there are many types of outdoor flooring materials, and when you choose, you may have the question: what is the difference between wooden plastic flooring and PVC flooring? Both of these materials are manufactured from synthetic materials, and compared to natural wood, they do not require annual polishing, dyeing, or painting. In addition to its low maintenance requirements and long service life, it is now favored by many homeowners and commercial spaces.

What is PVC flooring?
PVC flooring is made of 100% polyvinyl chloride, which is one of the most common plastics. Like wood plastic flooring, it aims to reduce common problems such as mold and insect infestation that can easily grow on wood. Because it is completely plastic, there are many choices in color. But in extreme temperatures such as extreme heat or cold, PVC flooring is prone to expansion and contraction, which may damage the floor. On the other hand, without wood fibers, PVC flooring will be lighter, and the wood grain effect is entirely artificial, making it difficult to achieve a realistic texture like wood.

Wood plastic floor
Wooden plastic flooring is mainly made by mixing and extruding wood fibers and plastic. It has a natural appearance similar to wood, and also alleviates many drawbacks caused solely by plastic flooring. On the other hand, the co extruded wood plastic flooring is manufactured by adding a protective outer shell layer around it to provide additional protection, which also has high requirements for the manufacturing process.

The difference between wood-plastic flooring and PVC flooring
The main advantage of wood-plastic flooring over PVC flooring is that the material is composed of a mixture of recycled plastic and wood fibers. It is an upgrade of wood with excellent anti mold and anti fouling properties. The unique wood grain mixed color manufacturing process of Kant Wood Plastic gives the wood plastic flooring a realistic appearance and a more natural appearance, and this wood grain effect is more slip resistant than PVC flooring. When the temperature suddenly changes, wood fibers are added to the interior of the wood-plastic floor, making it harder and less prone to expansion and contraction due to temperature changes.
